InfoCision Management Corporation officially opened its new, Toledo-area call center in mid-July on Reynolds Road. This is the first location the company has in Toledo, bringing over 100 jobs to the region.
According to company spokesperson, Halle Schossler, the new center is exclusively for InfoCision’s media clients, and was created due to the rapid growth of just one customer. There are currently 50 employees working at the call center, which officially went online the day of the ribbon-cutting, but the company plans to bring that total up to 100 by the end of the year.
“It is my pleasure to have the honor to welcome InfoCision, the nation’s second largest privately-held public services company, to Toledo,” said Wendy Gramza, president of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate the investment they have made in our region, they have 90-100 local employees, and over 4,000 throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. InfoCision is regularly recognized for their commitment to quality and ethics, and since the Plain Dealer began ranking the top workplaces in northeast Ohio in 2010, InfoCision has been on the list. I have no doubt that when the time comes they will make the The Blade’s list for top workplaces in northwest Ohio as well. I wish InfoCision all the best with their bright and successful future here in the Toledo region.”
According to the company, as a provider of contact center solutions, InfoCision serves many verticals including technology, healthcare, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications, as well as providing inbound and outbound marketing for non-profit, religious, and political organizations. InfoCision can help establish brand, build customers, create marketing strategies, and integrate teleservices into the marketing mix. These customized core solutions can be deployed individually or combined to create a multichannel strategy that includes inbound and outbound teleservices, direct mail, fulfillment, e-mail, data analytics, and digital communications.
“InfoCision appreciates the opportunity to join with our clients and local communities to create new jobs,” said Steve Brubaker, chief of staff. “We would like to thank the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, Regional Growth Partnership and JobsOhio, Lucas County, the Mayor’s office, and everyone who had a hand in making this Toledo expansion possible. We value this strong community partnership and look forward to continued growth opportunities.”
“On behalf of the Lucas County Commissioners we’d like to thank and welcome InfoCision for their decision to locate in our community and bring these jobs with them,” said Michael Vey, Lucas County director of business development. “When the County Commissioners decided a couple of years ago to merge our economic development and workforce programs into one, this is the type of project that I think they had in mind. While we were working with the Regional Growth Partnership and our other area economic partners, we were working with InfoCision to help them identify the needs, identify the qualified workers, and provide them with access to the facilities where they can do screening events, where they can conduct their interviews, and actually did some of the employee orientations at the One-Stop Center downtown, OhioMeansJobs Lucas County. It’s part of that partnership that is going to help develop this business into a bigger one, bring more people inbound, and will eventually lead to the development across the street and other parts of the city that really, truly need that kind of assistance, and it is because of the workers and the dedicated abilities that they bring to the table that is going to make this company successful.”
“For 30 years InfoCision has been a leader in the call center industry with over 4,400 employees in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. We are extremely happy that it has selected Toledo to locate its newest center,” said Eileen Granata, chief operating officer for the Toledo Mayor’s office. “InfoCision adds to the vibrancy of our community, the core foundations for safe, livable neighborhoods, economic development activity, and supports families by creating jobs. We appreciate the economic benefits of new business, and the new jobs that InfoCision brings to Toledo.”
Brubaker praised the local team of communicators for their results within the first week after training, and for maintaining the company’s commitment to working within the United States.
“In the call center business, many of our competitors have been known to be searching the globe for the lowest cost agent on the planet,” he said. “But no, not at InfoCision. All of our employees – all 3,000-plus employees – work right here in the United States of America, and it’s going to stay that way, and Toledo is no exception. We speak with our clients in their language, we speak in their culture, and it makes a difference.”
InfoCision was founded in 1982, and for its first three years operated in a consulting capacity. In 1985, the company began making telephone calls for organizations all over the world. InfoCision has been named one of the fastest-growing private companies in America, expanding from four communicators in 1985 to over 3,000.
