Formed in 1998, Franciscan Living Communities (FLC) provides comprehensive and spiritually enriching senior services and has become one of the fastest growing Catholic organizations for older adults in the USA. FLC is changing the image of retirement living by developing state-of-the-art social living communities that provide the highest quality of continuum care needs with enriched services.
FLC’s holistic, spiritual approach provides resident-centered care for more than 2,000 residents. With nine campuses throughout Kentucky and Ohio, and, with the recent transition to Catholic Health Initiatives, FLC has expanded to Colorado and is continuing to grow.
With more than 1,100 dedicated staff, the organization focuses on enriching the lives of residents every day with an unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of care. FLC takes pride in its focus of going above what is mandated by ensuring that staff members are knowledgeable and well-educated by providing specialized Alzheimer and dementia training as well as wellness and spiritual support. Additionally, all FLC campuses offer executive chefs on staff and an exceptional array of activities for all levels of care.
It is the policy of FLC to achieve accreditation by The Joint Commission, demonstrating the organization’s compliance with national standards for health care quality and safety in long-term care including infection prevention and control, leadership, performance improvement and medication management. Accreditation by The Joint Commission is a voluntary process that is above and beyond what is required by federal and state mandates, and demonstrates FLC’s commitment to the highest level of care for its residents.
